==Mummies==

+
As for any other expansion pack, even in this case there's a new creature...talking about travelling and [[Egypt]], '''mummies''' couldn't be omitted. Just like any other creature, they have pros and cons, and, in fact, they were created to be every player's nightmare!

==Dove si trovano==
+
==Where to find them==

+
You can run into a mummy while exploring tombs and in particular when searching its place, that is, a '''sarcophagus'''. However, not every sarcophagus has a mummy. If it is surrounded by treasures and chests, then you'll have higher chances to find a mummy. In some other cases, the mummy comes out from its sarcophagus as soon as you get close to that, even before you search it!
+

==Mummie in azione==
+
==Mummies in action==

+
Since you may run into a mummy while searching a sarcophagus, it is advisable to carry a few mummy-snacks. You can buy them from the '''local merchant in Egypt''' (you'll need to have a level 1 Visa and 100 ancient coins). In order to use the snacks, you'll just have to throw them on the floor while running away from the creature. If you run into a mummy and you're not well-equipped, you may end up in a fight or worse, being cursed!

+
As soon as a mummy discovers a Sim, it attacks him/her. If you have good athletic/martial arts skills, there are high chances your enemy will be defeated. If the mummy wins, you'll get a negative '''Knocked out''' moodlet and your Sim will be paralyzed for the whole moodlet's duration. If worse, then the mummy will curse you by surrounding you in a gas fog.

==Maledizione della mummia==
+
<div class="tipsk">Mummies never attack children! A good strategy may be using a child to explore a sarcophagus!
 +
</div>

+
==Mummy's curse==

'''Esistono diversi metodi per curare la maledizione''':
+
Mummies can cast a curse on your Sims, and if they're not cured, they'll die. The mummy's curse gives you a negative moodlet and if you do not cure your Sim while this moodlet is active, s/he will die.
+

==Combattere una mummia==
+
'''There are several ways to cure the mummy's curse''':

+
*'''Snake's kiss''': can be obtained through the snake's basket. While charming a snake, you'll have to get your Sim to kiss it, so you'll get a positive '''Snake's kiss''' moodlet. The curse will be cured.
+
*'''Visiting the Great Sphynx''': you'll have to visit the Great Sphynx and invoke the '''Spiritual peace statue''', which can cure the curse.
+
*'''Sleep in the blessed sarcophagus''': if you sleep in the '''Blessed sarcophagus of the Kings''', you'll get rid of the curse.
*'''Le mummie se si avvicinano al fuoco bruciano'''. Potete quindi attirarle verso una trappola infuocata per farla bruciare.

==Evocare una mummia a casa==

==Beating over a mummy==

+
There are many ways to defeat a mummy:

+
*'''Confronting it''': if you have good athletic/martial arts skills, you'll beat it.
 +
*'''Throwing it mummy snacks''': if you have at least a level 1 Visa and 100 ancient coins, you can get them from the local dealer. Remember that if your Sims rans out of dried food, s/he will eat the mummy's food.
 +
*'''If mummies get near a fire, they burn'''. You can get them near a fire trap and let it burn.

+
Did you ever ask yourself what sarcophagus' fragments are there for? If you collect all the fragments you will be able to place it in your home. You will need the '''sarcophagus of the Kings''', but it's not enough. You'll also need 5 canopic jars, place them inside the sarcophagus and if they are accepted, a mummy will appear.

Mummies

As for any other expansion pack, even in this case there's a new creature...talking about travelling and Egypt, mummies couldn't be omitted. Just like any other creature, they have pros and cons, and, in fact, they were created to be every player's nightmare!

Where to find them

You can run into a mummy while exploring tombs and in particular when searching its place, that is, a sarcophagus. However, not every sarcophagus has a mummy. If it is surrounded by treasures and chests, then you'll have higher chances to find a mummy. In some other cases, the mummy comes out from its sarcophagus as soon as you get close to that, even before you search it!

Mummies in action

Since you may run into a mummy while searching a sarcophagus, it is advisable to carry a few mummy-snacks. You can buy them from the local merchant in Egypt (you'll need to have a level 1 Visa and 100 ancient coins). In order to use the snacks, you'll just have to throw them on the floor while running away from the creature. If you run into a mummy and you're not well-equipped, you may end up in a fight or worse, being cursed!

As soon as a mummy discovers a Sim, it attacks him/her. If you have good athletic/martial arts skills, there are high chances your enemy will be defeated. If the mummy wins, you'll get a negative Knocked out moodlet and your Sim will be paralyzed for the whole moodlet's duration. If worse, then the mummy will curse you by surrounding you in a gas fog.

Mummies never attack children! A good strategy may be using a child to explore a sarcophagus!

Mummy's curse

Mummies can cast a curse on your Sims, and if they're not cured, they'll die. The mummy's curse gives you a negative moodlet and if you do not cure your Sim while this moodlet is active, s/he will die.

There are several ways to cure the mummy's curse:

  • Snake's kiss: can be obtained through the snake's basket. While charming a snake, you'll have to get your Sim to kiss it, so you'll get a positive Snake's kiss moodlet. The curse will be cured.
  • Visiting the Great Sphynx: you'll have to visit the Great Sphynx and invoke the Spiritual peace statue, which can cure the curse.
  • Sleep in the blessed sarcophagus: if you sleep in the Blessed sarcophagus of the Kings, you'll get rid of the curse.

Beating over a mummy

There are many ways to defeat a mummy:

  • Confronting it: if you have good athletic/martial arts skills, you'll beat it.
  • Throwing it mummy snacks: if you have at least a level 1 Visa and 100 ancient coins, you can get them from the local dealer. Remember that if your Sims rans out of dried food, s/he will eat the mummy's food.
  • If mummies get near a fire, they burn. You can get them near a fire trap and let it burn.

Raising a mummy at home

Did you ever ask yourself what sarcophagus' fragments are there for? If you collect all the fragments you will be able to place it in your home. You will need the sarcophagus of the Kings, but it's not enough. You'll also need 5 canopic jars, place them inside the sarcophagus and if they are accepted, a mummy will appear.

The explanation for that can be found in a mummy's nature. Their organs, in fact, were removed from the body for the mummification process. Just like the game, they were placed inside canopic jars that surrounded the sarcophagus.
